Work experience placement Max Jacob spends a week at Radio Design

RESEARCH

17-year-old Max Jacob spent a week with Radio Design on work experience. He learned how to build his first VR scene using Unity for the Vive Pro. On his placement Max learned the following:

• Principles of design for VR
• Building narrative and emotion
• Creating a landscape using the Terrain Engine
• Adding rich detail with assets from Sketchfab, Mixamo and Unity Asset Store
• Using sound and light to focus attention
• Interactivity basics: Teleportation and object interactions

The work Max created during the week led him to receive an unconditional offer from Staffordshire University studying a degree in Augmented and Virtual Realities. Well done Max!
