Ben Cook speaks at MPA Seminars about VR and the future of music publishing

TALKS

It was a privilege to be invited to speak at the Music Publishers Association specialist seminars on the panel “What is Virtual Reality and what are the licensing opportunities around it?”. Ben and fellow panellists Steve Hancock (Founder, Melody VR) and Tiago Correia (Innovation, Warner Music Group) enjoyed a lively discussion centred on how VR is adding value to the music industry, helping to connect artists with their fans, and creating opportunities for new licensing models.

Other panel discussions throughout the day covered topics on blockchain and copyright data, cryptocurrency and collecting licensing income, and the role of AI in music production. It was an inspiring session and certainly helped us better understand some of the key areas of innovation impacting the music publishing industry.
